How long have you worked at Westec Plastics?
I rejoined Westec Plastics as of September 20th, 2021 as the Business Development Manager. I was fortunate to have worked at Westec Plastics from 2012 – 2014 as a Sales Engineer. I’m thrilled to be back at Westec and be part of a winning team supporting our customers and prospects.
What does your typical day look like?
I like to wake up early and take care of emails from customers and colleagues and then get the kids ready for school. My primary goal each and every day is to make sure our customers are taken care of and feel appreciated. Regardless of how busy I am, I make it a goal to reach out to approximately 5 new people/prospects each day as you never know where those connections and conversations will take you.
How has your career grown since starting at Westec?
We have an incredible team at Westec with seasoned veterans and hungry young talent looking to grow. The growth I’ve experienced has been learning from our experienced team members and working closely with our customers and prospects whom I learn from each and every day. I’m fortunate to be working with engineers that are continuing to innovate which makes it easy to learn and grow within my role.
What is your favorite part about Westec?
My favorite part of being at Westec Plastics is seeing ideas come to life. At Westec, we regularly work with brilliant engineers designing next-generation products and we’re fortunate to see those projects go from concept to actual products produced within our facility. It’s extremely rewarding and exciting to see engineers receive their first parts once we’ve produced them, it’s like Christmas every day!!!
Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies/passions?
At this stage in my life, I’m focused on family outside of work and want to make sure our kids grow up experiencing their childhood as we did. I make it a priority to spend valuable time with my wife and daughters and experience all the great things that northern California has to offer.
Toilet paper, over or under?
Definitely over. I make sure to change the toilet paper to over even if I’m at someone else’s house.
What is the funniest joke you know by heart?
What do you call a cow with no legs? Ground beef!!!
If you could only wear one color for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
My entire wardrobe is blue. My wife wonders why I even shop for new clothes as most of the new clothes I buy look just like the clothes I already have. I like wearing blue as dark colors make me look thin.
What song will you never forget the lyrics to?
Head, shoulders, knees and toes, head, shoulders knees and toes. This song has been stuck in my head for 11 years as we had to listen to it when our first daughter was younger and now we’re listening to it again with our 2nd daughter.
