Since 1969, Westec Plastics Corporation has set the standard for the custom plastic injection molding industry. We specialize in tight tolerance mold manufacturing and production. Quality and customer service are our top priority and 100% customer satisfaction is our goal.

Westec’s engineering design team can take your project from concept to design by supporting customers with product design and mold flow analysis. Westec has a full service tool room that can assist you with mold design, prototypes, and mold manufacturing.

Our 21 state-of-the-art injection molding machines range in size from 39 to 610 tons, with each integrated into our Real Time Monitoring System, allows Westec to track mold performance and efficiency during production. ISO Class 8 clean room facilities are also available for medical and applications that require an extra degree of cleanliness.

Recent Company Milestones:

  • 2019 – WesTec purchased a new Keyence automated inspection system.
  • 2018 – WesTec achieves ISO 13485:2016 certification to better suit our customers’ needs in the Medical and BioTech industries.
  • 2018 – WesTec purchased a new Arburg molding machine (88T), bringing our fleet of injection molding machines to 21.
  • 2017 – WesTec purchased a new 6 color pad printing machine to expand our secondary operations capabilities.
  • 2016 – WesTec invested in two new molding machines (610T Milacron, 110T Milacron), bringing our fleet of injection molding machines to 20.
  • 2016 – WesTec invested in a new ISO Class 6 secondary operations clean room, further expanding our manufacturing operation offerings for customers in the Medical and Bio-Technology markets.
  • 2016 – WesTec increased the metrology capabilities by adding a Mitutoyo CMM and Starrett Optical Comparator.
  • 2015 – WesTec invested in a new electric Sumitomo injection molding machine (385T), further expanding our injection molding capabilities and machine options.
  • 2014 – WesTec purchased a local competitor in a strategic acquisition to further expand our customer base, increase sales, and equipment capabilities.
  • 2014 – WesTec invested in tool making capabilities, further expanding the tool-room equipment with a new Makino F3 Vertical Machining Center and a new AgieCharmilles FORM 20 EDM machine.
  • 2014 – WesTec invested in four new injection molding machines. Two hydraulic Van Dorn machines (85T & 170T) and two electric Sumitomo machines (both 198T).
  • 2012 – Westec continued to grow with an additional 14,000 sq/ft of manufacturing and storage space as required by substantial growth initiatives.
  • 2011 – Completed certified Class 100,000 Clean Room.
  • 2010 – Added Micro Vu Excel 652UC CMM to our Quality Department.
  • 2003 – Began replacing standard hydraulic injection molding with state-of-the-art electric molding machines. (6 Electric Machines currently on the floor.)
  • 2002 – Purchased STX Manufacturing facility which added capacity and capability to Westec Plastics with 3 Injection Molding machines, robotics, and an automated material handling system.
  • 2000 – Westec acquired Lawrence Graphics to further add to our 2nd operations/printing capabilities.
  • 1999 – Westec Plastics acquired the contract manufacturing assets of Young Technologies. This acquisition brought value added/contract manufacturing to Westec.
  • 1997 – Westec Plastics relocated from San Jose to Livermore, California.
