We offer short turnaround times, while guaranteeing the quality and long-term reliability of any WESTEC mold or tooling whether it is machined in house or by one of our long-term partners that has agreed to adhere to our stringent quality standards. Quality molding begins with quality tooling.
Our tooling process begins with a completed part design that is optimized for the machine it will run on.
Tooling material and the number of cavities designed will be based on the quantities of parts required and the time frames in which those parts are to be delivered. The tool design is validated for correctness by performing a tool check and mold flow analysis. The tool is then fabricated according to the validated design using CNC and edm machining technologies.
The new or refurbished tool is run and the first shot samples evaluated. Any modifications that are needed to bring the tool into spec are made before a full scale parts run is scheduled.
